PULP

PULP is Natalie de Koning and Holly Syrett’s initiative to reduce the waste volume of Dutch textile. PULP reuses textile waste and upcycles industrial waste (which would otherwise end up in the incinerator) to high-quality resources. The designers want to display the availability of sustainable materials.

The capsule collection they presented in January 2016 consisted of high-end, reusable and recycled materials sourced from the Dutch textile industry. In PULP’s unique business model, consumers assemble their own clothes, with a little help from the accompanying PULP-designs. Making consumers experience how their clothes are actually make, the designers hope to raise awareness about the value of the production process.
