back Walldog

'Walldogs' were artists who painted advertisements, logos, and other commercial symbols onto walls – turn-of- the-century, pre-social media marketing, basically. The Belgian clothing brand Walldog proudly continues this tradition. How? Founder Philippe Pelsmaekers travels the world to look for authentic street shop signs, billboards and funny quotes, putting them on sweaters and t-shirts for both men and women. These clothes definitely have a story to tell.

But that doesn’t mean Walldog employs rob-and-run tactics. Every Walldog item is accompanied by an online video that reveals the story of the prints’ owners, showing them in their shops or streets. In addition, Walldog donates a part of its profit to good causes in the area where the signs and stories originated from, thereby supporting the local economy. The brand teams up with NGO’s like SOS Kinderdorpen to make that happen.
