Andrea Crews

Since its launch in 2002, the French fashion collective Andrea Crews (which also has musicians and video artists as its members) has been synonymous with colourful, unisex streetwear as well as – and it owes its place in this list to this particular characteristic – with upcycling. Founder and artistic director Maroussia Rebecq keeps an eye on the Parisian Andrea Crews studio, which works wonders with used clothing by cutting, reassembling and transforming it into new, handmade and hip items. The latter are not only sold, but also play a part in Andrea Crews’ performances. Lastly, the members give workshops to spread their vision.
