Moon Games

In 2020, Anse Van Gestel launched her own fashion label in Antwerp. With Moon Games, she makes beautiful clothes that make a difference. How exactly, you ask? Well, there is the fact that her sweaters can be worn all year round, and there is Van Gestel’s sustainable materials policy. The knitted Moon Games jumpers see the light of day in a Belgian, family-run workshop where Tencel (made from wood pulp from sustainably managed sources) and merino wool reign supreme.

For her bags, in turn, Van Gestel has recourse to recycled materials. Think recycled butter paper, a mix of recycled cement paper and organic hemp, and recycled paper packaging. The Moon Games bags are made by, and in close collaboration with, WREN. This South-African company specialises in lifestyle accessories from recycled paper. The WREN team fuses paper with cotton to make it stronger, and uses Nano Liquid Glass, an environmentally friendly coating, to waterproof it.
